  CEBC is an amazing, welcoming church with a long rich history of sending missionaries to unreached people groups. They have two services, traditional at 9am and contemporary at 10:30am (yes, on Sundays). It's perched above Mission Bay and the views are some of the best in the city.
  
  My wife and I work in college ministry with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ) and we were immediately hooked upon being invited to a small group for young marrieds like us - the first day attending!
  
  They have something for everyone: kids ministry, including Awana, college ministry, young professionals, men's and women's bible studies, softball league, etc. We stayed because it does an amazing job crossing the intergenerational barriers many churches struggle to find. There's incredible people that have riveting stories of serving the Lord all around the world over many decades.
  
  Kenny Dodd, the teaching pastor teaches straight from the Bible and is incredibly fun, positive and friendly. He WILL REMEMBER YOUR NAME. Not sure how - maybe he's a really friendly computer...
  
  This church is where we chose to land because it's a loving and active community that truly makes disciples - people following Christ in everything, with many who go where most Christians don't - people groups without prior access to the gospel. It'll challenge you and stretch your concepts of church and following Christ.
