  • Its on the main strip of old town.... as you walk you se small coin like things on the sidewalk or the street these mark the bodies of the dead who were found and washed out by a storm since no body new the names of the dead they just marked the place where the body lays

  • El Campo Santo Cemetery was founded in 1849. It has a violent past as there were executions that took place in this cemetery. The cemetery walls confine many burial sites but there have been grave sites located outside the cemetery walls.

  • A fantastic site, full of history (happy and horrid). The research that has gone into the excavation and mapping of the site is amazing. Today confined, you can find on the street just beyond its limits are small bronze plaques that mark additional grave sites.

  • Beautiful historic cemetery in Old Town. Some markers are even on the side walk. A must see.
