  • I actually already posted for the KROC center ice rink, but it was meant for this specific review.

I gave the KROC 4 out of 5, instead of 5 out of 5 because sometimes the competition pool is not accessible for swimming laps due to various activities, especially during the summer, and the KROC should do a little bit more of an efficient job in letting it's members know ahead of time. Utilize mainstream ways of notification, such as mass emailing and mass SMS text messaging. In addition, send out mailers to advise members as well. Not everyone is always going to read posters throughout a crowded and busy KROC center, where the main focus is usually to listen to our Pandora lists while working out.

All in all, aside from the nominal adjustment mentioned, the KROC is a great place for families, with a ton of activities for everyone. Playcare is great for the kiddos and included with a couple different types of membership, which you can pay month to month, if you choose. The pricing is very fair based on what is offered and included for everyone. The gym is great with a lot of weights and equipment to choose from. There's basketball courts, fitness classes, an ice rink, and more. Enjoy!

  • I love Kroc Center, it has a small weight room but there aren't a lot of folks going to the weight area, just pick your times and equipment. Most are friendly and you can work in and easily communicate if you need a piece of equipment. I love having a pool, cycle, weights, basketball, zumba and more on the menu of things to keep me healthy. After reading some reviews there are some individual bad experiences but being realistic is necessary. Great amenities for our neighborhood. You want a bigger weight room? Planet bizness is right down the street.

Their skateboard "class" and "instructor" are inexperienced, unqualified, disappointing, ignorant. The first day the "instructor" didn't even show up for class, no call, no show. Most importantly, he did not have a plan set for the kids. My son has autism, which I wrote in his enrollment forms. Any kid, especially those on the autism spectrum, thrive on a plan and routine. The class was open play with some random teaching thrown in as the kids needed it. When I called to complain, not only did it take me 5 attempts to reach the instructor, he argued back with me, admitted he did not read the children's enrollment forms, and stated he could tell my son was special "just by looking at him". I was expecting better, since we enjoy their free family nights. VERY DISAPPOINTING. DO NOT waste your money here. Spend a little more and find a better quality class somewhere else.
